Antique French Handblown Glass Flycatcher
-
$89.00
-
This is a handblown glass flycatcher from the late 19th or early 20th century. The handblown glass bulb has been shaped with an interior trough that allows you to fill the piece with red wine or vinegar, which attracts fruit flies and traps them within. This is a classic example of an object that while very old, is still functional today. Many people still use these antique pieces for their intended purpose, but they are also beautiful and simple decorative accents.
This one measures 6" round and 6" tall. Light surface wear is present.
