This beautifully decorated French gilt mirror features a detailed frame with floral carvings and scrollwork along the entire edge. The glass is not original to the piece and features a 1" beveled detail at the edge. The age of the mirror is unknown. The gilt finish has many tones and has a warm and aged patina. Previous repairs have been made to this piece, but overall the condition is very nice and this piece can be hung either vertically (as shown) or horizontally.

Measures 39" x 50" x 3"D (at edge of decoration). Light surface wear is present on the frame. See images.

Additions or alterations made to the original: Glass is replacement, but age is unknown. Repaired: Repairs to the frame were previously made, likely in areas where surface cracks or losses to the plaster occurred. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses.
